Welcome to the waste station
Waste that cannot be disposed of in the waste containers in your own yard or ecopoint must be taken to a waste station. Such waste includes, for example, electrical equipment, hazardous waste and garden waste. In addition, all large-scale waste must be taken to a waste station.
- The waste stations have staff who serve and advise customers. The service hours of the waste stations vary. Some waste stations also offer self-service outside of the normal service hours during the summer season (more in Finnish at rosknroll.fi/itsepalvelu).
- All waste stations accept loads from households brought in by passenger cars or vans and trailers connected to them. However, the waste stations have restrictions on how much waste can be brought in at a time.
- Batches brought in by truck are mainly delivered to the Munkkaa waste central in Lohja or the Domargård waste central in Porvoo. We also accept waste from companies. You can find more information here (in Finnish).
- Different waste types are transported from the waste station for recovery.
Good to know before you visit a waste station
- Check the opening hours of the waste station (see the list of waste stations below).
- Sort your waste at home while you are assembling the load.
- Most waste types can be brought to the waste station free of charge if they are sorted correctly, taking into account the quantity restrictions.
- Some waste is chargeable. We accept debit or credit cards as means of payment.
At the waste station
- Follow the driving instructions and register at the information desk.
- The service advisor checks and prices the load and advises you on how the different waste types should be sorted.
- Follow the sorting instructions.
- Unload the waste into the correct collection containers.

Fee or no fee, that is the question
Most of the different waste types are accepted free of charge from households that bring waste by passenger car or van. Chargeable waste is priced according to volume, with the exception of tyres with wheels and tree stumps, which are priced per unit.
Please note that certain waste types have restrictions on how much can be brought to a waste station at a time.
